Highland Park Neighborhood Tour

Sleepy, working-class Highland Park, is a diverse neighborhood filled with tree-lined streets, modest homes, and several apartment buildings. It is located in West Seattle, while this quiet town doesn’t have a whole lot to offer in terms of recreation, the easy access to the highways makes it simple to get to West Seattle Junction, for plenty of entertainment.

Downtown Seattle is seven miles from Highland Park, while Bellevue is 16 miles, and Redmond is 24. The town is bordered by Riverview to the north, South Park to the east, White Center to the south, and to the west, South Delridge.

If you’re looking to get out of the house, and not have to drive any highway miles, Westcrest Park is the perfect place. This park is over eight acres and features open fields, a lovely picnic area, playgrounds, and an off-leash area to take your dog for a walk.

One of the park’s playfields is great for soccer, while it also features another field for softball and baseball. The fields are great for youth soccer, and baseball and they’re available for drop-in use or rent.

If you’d like to show your support for the beautiful park, the area is run off on donations. You can donate park benches, as well as landscape, maintenance, and even tools to help preserve the natural beauty of Highland Park.
